Studentersamfundet is amongst other things one of the biggest concert venues in Oslo. Studentersamfundet was built in 1973, and has ever since been an important contribution to the cultural scene in Oslo.
Studentersamfundet has primarily three different stages; Betong, Klubbscenen and Storsalen.
Allthough mainly ran by students, it is a professional concertvenue with a broad selection of concerts, ranging from up and coming bands to established artist, both norwegian and international.
The main stage Betong, has a capacity of 1300, yet it offers an intimate experience. Klubbscenen, a smaller stage with a capacity of 350, is mostly used for more unknown and up and coming bands. Storsalen is the architectual heart of studentersamfundet. With a seated capacity of 1005, it is one of the best stages of its kind in norway. Many legendary concerts has taken place in both Storsalen and Betong. Gigs by bands like The Clash, Pearl Jam and Sigur R..s have all made their mark.
