TUNG-FU aka GILL aka DAYWAKLER
For any of those wondering about the multiple namesakes, they have developed during my magnificent journey through sound. as a child my initial influences came from my family's love of Punjabi gospel and we were always encouraged to utilise and explore our vocal and musical abilities.
Due to this solid foundation my brothers and I grew up with a natural love of music. As the youngest of four I was exposed to rock, funk and taught to fully embrace music by my brother David who taught me to be analytical of music, to explore technical approaches toward production, the emotional beauty of writing and the art of performance and delivery.
My first projects predomimantly revolved around exploring my vocals within a soul and r'n'b framework. My original musical partner Bobby D(Bob cat) and I spent a lot of time investigating "voice"styles, comcepts, hormonies etc. Infact many friends still moan i don't sing enough these days!
I became increasingly interested by Hip-hop and street poetry, along with my younger cousin Roger(Thunda Tung). Thanks to my brother David(Spida)this gave us an experience of live performance at a young age. this interest in free-style and improvisation also led me on a path towards Jungle this resulted in me creating my first solo production within a studio environment. I was now intrigued by creating, expressing feelings and views and generally writing across a range of genres. fantasy layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com MyHotComments
