About Me

ALL PHOTOS COPYRIGHT 2006-2008 TO ME, DANIEL HOYT. LOGOS BY AMBER FULLER.
My name's Daniel Hoyt, and Danger Ninja Productions to me is a few things - it is freedom, truth and art that focuses not only on my desires as a photographer, but yours as a model. My work is geared towards professional modeling and portfolio building, though I never limit myself in terms of expression and just having fun with one of the most beautiful arts around, and I expect the same out of those whom I work with.
I love finding the glamorous or artistic side of every model I shoot and bringing it out for everyone to see. Everyone has their own form of expressing their beauty through photos, and I intend to capture as much of it as possible.
Even if you've never modeled, or are currently aspiring to leap into the professional world, DNP wants you to feel like a natural model right from the very first picture. Why is this? The answer is simple: to be as comfortable as possible and have as much fun as you can, not only as a model, but as an artist like me. That's right - YOU are equally the artist I am. I snap the photos and have plenty of ideas, but I also encourage suggestions and ideas from you that you want me to try or help you achieve. What you want to do and how you want to look is how photos turn out the clearest and brightest in the end. By being pro-active with your modeling aspirations, not only do the photos turn out better, but they create even more possibilities for expanding your portfolio in the future.
A Little About Me
I'm 23 years old, happily married to the love of my life, and a graduate of the University of Oregon. I play entirely too many video games - which often shows up in my photos - and I'm a trained classical musician, not to mention a former member of jazz and ska bands, so music is huge in my life. I'm also a big sports fan, particularly college football and basketball, so don't be surprised to hear me talking about it on occasion.I'm pretty chill and probably the most laid-back guy you'll ever meet. I'm as serious about creating art as anyone else, but part of creating art is having a hell of a lot of fun while doing it, so that tends to be what happens at pretty much any of my photo shoots.I've worked with over 200 people and have recommendations upon request. Though I have several people who model for me consistently, I'm always open to as many new clients as I can get. This makes me extremely busy, but I don't care. The way I see it, I've got the best job in the world.
I use a Nikon D50 Digital SLR camera equipped with a SB-400 Speedlight. Lenses include my 18-200mm VR II, a 50mm f/1.8D , and a kit 18-55mm. I use Alienbee strobes and Smith-Victor continuous lighting.
I'm on Model Mayhem! Add me!

Fantasy and sci-fi, though I'm extremely picky.

Heroes:

"Le Voyage dans la lune"
"Spirits surround us on every side... they have driven me from hearth and home, from wife and child."
"This body, this body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone in this body, this body holding me, feeling eternal, all this pain is an illusion..."
"I fly the beast made of steel, then I can cut the night. Gas tank is filled with vengeance, machine guns shooting spite. Can't find the thing that makes this thing take a hard turn right, I follow where it leads me by battered wings of might."
"Can't waste the day when the night brings the hearse, so make a move and plead the fifth because you can't plead the first."
"Last night I woke alone with a whisper in my ear, recanting all my aspirations and my fears. And when the sun came up that voice had disappeared, but it would linger on for years. It said 'We can't just blame it on our mothers, claim everything they did was always wrong.' And there ain't no turning back when our train is off its track, and there's nothing we can do but watch it crash."
"Shot full of diamonds and a million years, the disappointed disappear like they were never here. In a dream, we are connected, Siamese twins, at the wrist..."
"No longer underneath the streets, we'll infiltrate until you're weak, we'll strike upon what you hold dear, the Waste has come, the end is near. Annihilating shit like you, despising everything you do, heed our everlasting blast, kneel before the kings of thrash."
"You are just a puppet...you have no heart...and cannot feel any pain."
"Even if it seems certain that you will lose, retaliate. Neither wisdom nor technique has a place in this. A real man does not think of victory or defeat. He plunges recklessly towards an irrational death. By doing this, you will awaken from your dreams."
"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."
