THE HAZEY JANES from Dundee, although named after a Nick Drake song, have had their music described as 'modern day Mamas and Papas' due to their dual male and female lead vocal approach, however their fushion of traditional folk, country rock, and American power-pop is more reminiscent of Big Star or Velvet Crush.
THE HEDRONS music is decidedly one part Ramones-esque brawn, one part femme-fatale roar, and one part ruthless guitar-driven nerve. Co-mingling easily with the gritty wide-eyed beauty of The Slits, the strong steadiness of Joan Jetts orchestrated screams, and the revolutionary and raw hip factor of PJ Harvey, this rare outfit manages to confront all sides of your musical preferences head on.
