Freewheelin' were formed in 2000 by five friends with nowhere to go and nothing to do. After getting together and jammin' (IN A SMOKE FILLED ATMOSPHERE!!!) they hit the gig circuit, playing their 1st gig in the old Westport Bar in front of a packed crowd. The band went on to play some great gigs, the most memorable being a legendary Friary gig with local lads Hanney, and Incendiary (who are now Rising Signs) in front of over 300 people (not mentioning the countless others who were turned away at the door due to the venue being at its capacity!!). The night ended in a forever memorable stage invasion - undoubtedly one of those nights where everything was spot on..... After playing with the likes of Hanney, Rising Signs, Cholo, Magdalen Green, and The Law, the band decided to call it a day for one reason or another - the usual shit! Now, however they are reforming with a new line-up, and are currently in the process of re-writing some of the songs which made the band one of the most respected on the circuit a few years ago. Look out for new downloads in the not too distant future as the boys are going back into the studio to record some new material. Gigs should be in the pipeline by early this year - all going well............... All songs recorded at hastie retreat recording studio Dundee..
