About Me

Arizona DanceSafe is a non-profit, youth-based organization. Through peer education and harm reduction, we encourage young people to party and celebrate music as safely and responsibly as possible. By supplying science-based literature on drugs at events, AZ DanceSafe is providing Arizona's dance and nightlife community with the tools needed to make an informed decision about drugs.
Our mission is to empower Arizona’s dance and nightlife community to take physical and civic responsibility for themselves and the greater community in which they are a part.
Our purpose is to promote health, safety and responsibility within Arizona’s dance and nightlife community through youth advocacy, peer counseling and civic education. We accomplish these goals by providing literature on drugs/drug abuse, sexual health, various other health and safety issues (i.e., hearing, heatstroke, etc.), civil liberties, supplies for personal health needs (i.e., food, water, condoms, band-aids, etc.), and peer counseling services to help educate and prevent unintended consequences. Additionally, we patrol venues to make sure no one is either harming themselves or those around them.
While AZ DanceSafe DOES NOT condone drug use, we recognize that with or without legal sanctions people will still choose to use drugs. The main goal of AZ DanceSafe is to reduce the harms associated with drug use by providing truthful information about drugs, as well as health and safety services. We service mainly the non-addicted, recreational drug user, those of which make up the bulk of drug users in the nation.
