Show description: Cognitive Liberty Airwaves serves as a forum for both a discussion of the multidisciplinary approach to psychedelic studies and an exploration of modern shamanism. The show exists to paint a truthful picture of the world of psychedelic inquiry minus the usual media and government hysteria surrounding the topic. There is a bright future in which responsible psychedelic exploration can be incorporated into mainstream society. Greater knowledge of the effects of psychoactive substances and their use in shamanism has the potential to enhance humanity's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, and can lead the way in a necessary healing which must occur in order to rediscover ourselves, to rewire our connection to nature, and to realize our position in the web of life. Using information from maps.org and other organizations made up of dedicated, creative, progressive, professional scientists and pioneers in the field of psychedelic research, we will provide information on current research in the field, dispel myths about the effects of psychoactive substances, and illustrate the urgent need for drug reform. The show will also touch on the history of our species' involvement with teacher plants and psychoactive substances and the exciting direction in which this quickly expanding field of research is leading our society.
