Lenno Straatsma (a.k.a. LSDidge) born on the 11th of februari 1981 in Dronten, the Netherlands, started playing the didgeridoo in 1997. After one year playing the didge LSDidge was introduced in the “Amsterdam didgeridoo sceneâ€: Meeting great people and really great didgeridooplayers from all over Holland at the inspiring didgeridoo jamsessions at ‘the Badcuyp’ and in the didgeshop ‘ Aboriginal art and Instruments ’ in Amsterdam.
In 2001 Lenno started travelling around in the south of Europe and Marocco. When he returned to the Netherlands he moved from Dronten to Zwolle.
There it didn’t take long to meet a some nice and good musicians. First he played/jammed with ‘de geheimzinninge zondagsschool’ (‘the secret sundayservice’ is mabey the best translation), and soon ended up in this place called ‘Eureka’ and the ‘ADHD produktie studio’. It was in these places the bands ‘Combo di Conjo’ and ‘Spees is de plees’ started.

Combo Di Conjo has taken up a role of its very own in the scattered music scene of today. With a child-like enthusiasm and a pure love for music from all over the world they create a complete one-of-a-kind soundscape. In the studio they dont hesitate to make use and experiment with many different styles and techniques in such a way as to form their very own musical image, and at their live performances there is always an incredible atmosphere created through interaction with the audience. Combo di Conjo like no other, exposes the arty underground-scene to the more popular and well known festivals and club scenes. The band Combo di Conjo started off in 2003 as a one-off project called freakz in the attic held in the social cultural centre Eureka in Zwolle. The combo, grooving, experimental and swinging, seemed to not only strike a chord within the audience but also amongst the musicians themselves. The first gig played by this illustrious group had an impact to such a degree that they decided to on with the Conjos. A period of intense practicing and working out ideas followed.This resulted in many performances within the Dutch underground-scene and their first demo Conjo Radio. This demo forms the basis of the typical Combo di Conjo sound; freaky funky world music in which the drums, didgeridoo and the bass form the groovy base, drowned in a moody atmosphere created by the various different instruments: guitar, saz, congas, djembe, saxophone, Hammond organ, Rhodes, noise effects and vocals. Influences from funk, rock, dance, avant-garde, hip-hop, jazz, psychedelica and reggae are present.In January 2005 a second demo is produced by the band themselves called Combo di Conjo. On this demo it can be clearly heard that the Conjos walk their self-willed, unique musical path that they have laid out for themselves with increasing confidence.
SPEES IS DE PLEES
The beginning. -First there was only darkness. Then there was SPEES! The origin of this phenomenon took place at the adhd prod. studio located inside Eureka (Zwolle). Some strangely talented space face's thought it wouldt be better to combine their powers in order to space up the place called "holland". The Take over: -still in progress. The ending: - did that in the beginning.
