There was the D.H.Lawrence and Thomas Hardy era...then there was Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Christina Rossetti, Wilfred Owen, so a lot of poetry...and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland a particular favourite...enjoyed Ray Bradbury's short stories eg. Golden Apples Of The Sun...loved George Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm...Sophie's World, Birdsong, Captain Corelli's Mandolin...then there were autobiographies and biographies...factual books...ALL books!
