Alors..on y va..Don't be a kyattapilla, be a butterfly!
That's the way I try to live.
It's true there is a butterfly in all of us...I use this as a metaphor for my philosophy that we are all born into the world with a unique potential to contribute. Many people, because of all sorts of reasons, economic, social, political, never get to fully explore that potential..make those wings fly, and spread those colours outside of their immediate surroundings into the rest of the world. I believe the purpose of the work I do is to help realise that potential, in other people and in myself.
I work in Theatre because theatre is about transformation; it's a world where everything is possible. If it's possible in theatre, then why not in life? If we don't like the realities we see, then we can imagine ways to change them through theatre, and then we can try them out in real life. And in theatre we are constantly in spontaneous communication, with other performers, with the audience, with the place and time we are in, and with the issues which are most important to us right now.
I am a clown and a Clown Doctor. Play is freedom.
I believe all creativity is linked and different forms nurture each other...so I make theatre with music and sound, dance, poetry, acrobatics, circus skills, puppets and objects...

If I live in the world I must move in it and learn from it. I need to travel with my work..I have worked with street children in Senegal and Ghana, with young people in England, France and Italy, have performed in Tunisia, Spain, Italy, England, Senegal....There is still so much out there to explore.
