Born in Montevideo; Uruguay.He lives and works in Berlin since 28 years.After leaving his home country he works in Argentina,where he has to leave in 1975. In Spain he joins many latin-Bands ; while he also is part of the Band of the musical ....HAIR.... tour. In Berlin he becomes a known gitarplayer;specially for latin music. He plays with the.latin-Bands Ipanema, Salsanco, Latino Dance Mix......Juan Carlos works with Peter Wyoming Bender ( Joe Kucera; Sax),as with the turkisch singer Özay and the vocalist Jasmin Bonin.He plays Tango with the bandoneon player Klaus Gutjahr.In 1999 and 2000 he accompanies Helen Schneider in the musical ....EVITA.... in the theater festival of Bad Hersfeld.He has his own band ....PA“QUE.... with whom he present his compositions.He is known hor being a very virtuos gitarplayer ; fantastic improviser and open to many stiles:In the centre of the compositions by Carlos Mieres are southamerican and afroamerican rhythms, as Tango and Candombe, also Bossa and Chacarera. Besides his music shows some caribeean influences.
