About Me

House head through and through. Music is always the answer; it makes the world go around.... In 2002 after a small stint living in the U.S. Peter, then 18 began embarking upon the U.K. club scene with familiar friends who had discovered the likes of Back2Basics and Shindig – two of the norths greatest and longstanding club nights. This now became a weekend regular and the opportunity to catch as many dj’s as possible was high on the agenda such was the increasing requirement of more quality underground house music. But it had all began in earnest much earlier to little or no significance at the time, through hearing radio shows presented by Pete Tong and Danny Rampling on BBC Radio 1 at the weekends. It wasn’t long until listening to the music was just good enough and Peter started buying pieces of vinyl as the urge to do something with the music himself grew and grew. A second hand pair of turntables then became the centre of attention as more and more records were bought and in varying genres but all house or what we would associate as a regular 4x4 beat sound... After hearing many more dj’s over the next couple of years, visiting more clubs and tending to watch the dj from vantage points Peter was beginning to draw influence from the New York sounds of Onionz and Joeski, the dubby SanFran sounds of Dano, Tony Hewitt, Miguel Migs, Chris Lum and Jay-J and fast rising U.K. jock Yousef simultaneously with Chicago legends Derrick Carter and DJ Sneak. Capitalising on this Peter took up more and more bedroom mixing and began consolidating on sculpting a consistent deep- house sound with a Chicago feel – which he could be identifiable. Having been introduced to promoter Matt Tyson through a friend at University in Carlisle, Peter began frequenting Matts night at the time Lucid. This allowed good relationships to be built with Matt and his resident dj’s – such was the enthusiasm of Peter to get to know people in the industry. In summer 2005 Peter got his first break when he was asked to play at a local night in Durham called Motherfunk and Matt and co were present. Having impressed Peter was asked to play at the final ever Lucid party later that year which featured Danny Rampling in one of his final gigs, but this was only the beginning of the venture as what was formerly Lucid was eclipsed by UBER a new monthly instalment in Carlisle’s clubbing calendar. Having impressed Peter was asked to become a resident and after playing many back-room sets was finally given the reins to warm-up for Hacienda legend Tom Wainwright. Since then Peter has played with and warmed up for dj’s including Kenny Dope, Sandy Rivera, X-Press 2, Pete Tong, Todd Terry, Tim Deluxe, Justin Long, Paul Woolford, Yousef, Tom Middleton, Tim Sheridan, Danny Howells, Neil Bainbridge, Lee Mortimer, Switch and DJ Sneak. Peter has played at cool bar Tokyo and Revolution in Newcastle while giving support at the Orange Evolution festival in 2006 at Newcastle Quayside. In more recent times Peter has gained recognition for his mixing skills from Yousef and Nic Fanciulli in national magazines and in late 2007 Peter and the UBER brand were invited to play at the legendary Shindig at Digital. 2008 promises to be even more exciting with Peter cementing his residency at UBER with an exclusive club mix cd and embarking on a club and festival tour.Hot Premade Layouts - Music Bands - Animals - Movies I edited my profile at HotPremadeLayouts.com . check out these Myspace Layouts!
