About Me
The music
Euzen is letting the imagination run wild, all open doors and no boundaries, there is no right ore wrong, we play in all aspects of the word!
Our music is electronic and organic, all instruments are played in hand, on real instruments, then sampled and placed inside the computer, so we can bend and play with them as we please. And we are very pleased, pleased to make music fit for ears willing to listen, pleased to discover the catchy tune that still is demanding something of the listener, simply pleased to play, for you and your imagination.
I don’t feel like telling you so much about what kind of genre it is ore what it sounds like, at least not for the time being, its much better if you just listen and make up your own mind.
We love it if you have a comment about it, though, if I am allowed to make up yet another word, it will be confirmation-junkie, and it will be us. ;-)
The nerdy, personal stuff
euzen consists today of us, Christopher Juul and Maria Franz. We separately hitched on the same road before meeting on Island in 06 and continuing together. Christopher is 24 years old from Copenhagen Denmark, Maria (me, myself, but I will write about myself in third person, just because I feel like it, and I think it looks rather nice) is 26 from Borre, Norway
Christopher got his first home studio when he was 13, and is now the owner of Lava Studio in Copenhagen where he is a producer in all directions from rock, pop, folk and electronica. Besides the knowledge of how to operate all kinds of electronic equipment, including web designs and lay outs, his main instrument is the piano. Christopher has been involved in several bands, and besides euzen he is now guest musician in the folk band Valravn, and has a wonderfully weird little solo project (witch he doesn’t tell anyone about, but I love it:-) ) called Chill Me Torzo.
Maria discovered she could play hand drums when she was 13, and started playing folk music when she was 15 with an ethnical mixed group in Larvik, picking a variety of traditional folk instruments. Her first serious music project was the folk/world music band Ehwaz in Oslo, where she continued to dive into all sorts of instruments, before settling the focus on the most complex one of them all, her voice.
Maria is studying cultural project management, learning the skill of how to manage all kinds of projects involving cultural elements, This comes indeed in handy in many aspects of her interests. Besides the music, she is now working with concerts and festivals besides the school projects.
Finally, I wish to thank the endless quantity of inspiring, beautiful people we are so fortunate to have around us, and express my gratitude that many of them make music that may make any atheist believe that there is something bigger than themselves out there. Thank you for the music!
