About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Chris Lee was born in 1984 and started playing guitar when he was 7. He grew up with Ben Caragol of Hacksaw to the Throat. He played with Ben prior to the forming of Hacksaw, during his freshman year at Acalanes High School. In the summer before his Junior year he formed the band Spectrum with Shawn Rasson on bass and Chris Kerr on drums (brother of Eric Ozenne who is the front man of The Nerve Agents). Spectrum eventually became Hypnotrigger. Towards the middle of his Junior year he began private instruction with Rex Bell, Berklee School of Music graduate. In the fall of 2003, he began the Music Major Transfer Program at Diablo Valley College. Chris studied theory and musicianship from Dr. Mark Alburger and Dr. Owen Lee, jazz theory, improvisation and individual studio instruction with Dr. Rory Snyder and private instruction in conducting and composition from Dr. Owen Lee. In 2004 Chris began private Guitar instruction with Brian Pardo. Chris is planning on transferring to Cal State East Bay to study music composition with Frank La Rocca. Chris plans to found and direct a youth orchestra, compose soundtracks for films, instruct courses in music theory & improvisation, teach private lessons and perform on the side. Currently, Chris is teaching beginning guitar for elementary school students, teaching private lessons, instructing a music theory & improvisation course and focusing on general education classes at Diablo Valley College.
