About Me

I am trying to phase out this profile so if you wanna hook up do so at my myspace music profile . But don't bother adding me if you don't intend to come out and see me play a live show, actually listen to and like my music, know me in person or at very least want to hang out and buy me a drink sometime.
In a nutshell... I am a megalomaniac. I'm on a mission from God. I have lived in Canada, England, New Orleans, Las Vegas, and spent countless months touring the nation and even though I am currently living in New York, I feel that California is home. I love the LA freeway at dusk with the top down. I want to live how I want to live. www.RICKROYALE.com
I promote & play every Tuesday (that I am in town) at a night in Brooklyn called WhiskeyBreath (Laila Lounge 113 N.7th St 1 & 1/4 blk west of the Bedford L train stop). Other than that I am playing... here
Be a sport, buy my new record AT THE END OF SUNSET or download a couple of songs from iTunes

Ziggy, Iggy and Lou (the unholy trinity of Rock 'n' Roll), The Who, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Little Richard, The Archies, X, The Byrds, The Beatles, Frank, Dino and Sammy, tatu (gotta love jailbait-girl on girl pop!), Elvis (both of them), Duran Duran, Warren Zevon, The Replacements, Eddie Cochran, The Kinks, Adam and the Ants, Johnny Cash, Ladytron, 60s motown, The Beach Boys, The Rattled Roosters, T-Rex, Bob Dylan, girl groups from days gone by (especially ones that Phil Spector worked with), Sloan, Blue Rodeo, The Faint, one hit wonders, Buddy Holly, and so much more.
Of course I like my music...

Rick Royale and the Collection.
Give it a listen, click the cover above.

Movies:

Vampire flicks, 5th Element, Basquiat, Jesus is Coming, Clockwork Orange, Gangster .1, Fight Club, Phantom of the Paradise, Blade Runner, Ciao Manhattan, Rocky Horror, anything with Paige Moss in it, Velvet Goldmine, Moulin Rouge, any Tim Burton film, so many films it gives me a head ache...

Books:

Popism, Lexicon Devil, The Bible, boring art texts, We Got the Neutron Bomb, Edie, anything by AA Milne, Killing Bono, Naked, Hollywood and South of no North, Culture Jam, Hollywood Babylon, The Last Party, and a bunch of stuff too pretentious or too cheesy to say.

Heroes:

we could be, just for one day.
