We all like soultacular music , like MOTOWN, Little Richard , James Brown,
Also West Coast stuff like, Jan and Dean, Beach Boys,Arthur Lee( Love), the Doors,Jefferson Airplane, Captain Beefheart,
British stuff like the Rolling Stones ,the Who, Yardbirds, the Hollies,( the Lennonish side of) the Beatles
Other than music influences ,Big Daddy Roth, Edgar Allen Poe,and American Indians
As for Radio Birdman... an outgrowth , rather than influence, Exploring areas and attitudes that Birdman wasnt, More space for Hoyle,More space for Deniz, a different style singer.
Sounds Like: Sound like to me, that I havnt listen to these recording much at all over the decades, so it feels fresh.
