About Me

UPCOMING SHOWS:
June 29 @ 7pm: Texas Gospel Announcers Guild Musical, Canaan Baptist Church
Originally hailing from Detroit, Michigan, it was in Indianapolis that Ron Summers honed the vocal technique and writing style he is known for today. Ron’s gift was discovered and developed while singing with local youth in the T.M. Mass Choir after receiving Christ at his home church, the Christ Church of Indianapolis. Ron’s organization of the NUREV community choir is what ultimately lead to his first professional recording in 1997 on Tyscot Records.
As God so often moves us physically to grow us spiritually, Ron Summers moved to Houston in 1999 and organized the Sounds of Levi (SOL) - a group of anointed singers who have touched thousands of lives and been blessed to share the stage with artists including Tye Tribett & GA, Youthful Praise, Dorinda Clark-Cole and Kim Burrell –. In 2002, he was brought on as the Minister of Music at St. John’s United Methodist Church where Rudy & Juanita Rasmus lead as co-pastors.
In 2006 Ron Summers signed a management and label deal with the favored Music World Entertainment (led by music mogul Mathew Knowles), and its inspirational division Spirit Rising Music. Ron continues to serve as Minister of Music, leads various choir workshops, is currently a featured artist on Volume I: TOUCH – The Pastor Rudy Experience, and will begin recording his debut project under Spirit Rising Music Spring 2007.
