About Me

Three4 is the product of two colleagues from UC Davis, the home of the famous KDVS radio station. Three4 combines poetic vocals over jazzy beats. Tracks pay homage to soulful sounds of the past. The poetry is vaguely reminiscent of a school lesson (if your instructor were hot and topics were seductive).Three4 is a duo made up of producer/DJ il Dante and poet and soulstress Ashaki. Il Dante is also a producer for the hip hop crew Nostalgic Progression (check it out). On Three4, the chill grooves keep that dusty vinyl vibe, which come from crates of jazz, rock, and soul. The words are just fresh, you better get ready for class, because Ashaki schools folks. Word.
