Hello all kitties of Myspace! My brothers and I have made so many new friends that I decided to create my own contest, the A"Cat"emy Awards.
All the honest, fun-loving kitties on Myspace!
For now, here's how the A"cat"emy Awards contest will go...
1. I will post a bulletin to announce that I am accepting entries, but you can send me pics of any of the upcoming contests at any time, just specify what contest it is for.
2. I will accept the first 15 kitties that meet the criteria for the current contest. You must be a kitty and have your own Myspace page or at least have a shared page with other kitties in your household. Only 1 kitty per Myspace account may enter.
3. The contest will start once I have 15 entries or 2 days have passed, whichever is sooner. I will post a bulletin announcing the beginning of the contest.
4. The contest will last until 100 votes been cast (50 kitties x 2 votes each) and after I have announced the "Last Chance to Vote" in a bulletin.
How long does that take? For the first contest, there were 50+ votes cast in a day and a half and for the 2nd, there were 70+ votes cast by day 2, so each contest will probably last 2-5 days at most.
5.New There will be 5 winners (which I will announce in a bulletin at the end of the contest), 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, 4th place, and Fuzzy's Choice. Fuzzy's choice will actually be a winner chosen by a group of 2-5 of mommy's animal loving friends who do not have myspace accounts or any affiliation with any of the contestants. I will make a very nice award photo for each of the winners to paste on their Myspace pages. In the event of a tie, there may be more than 1 winner for first, second place, etc.
Now for the rules:
1.UPDATEYou may vote twice per Myspace account, and you may not vote twice for the same kitty,(there have been a few problems...) also no voting for yourself or asking for votes..
2. You may not post bulletins asking for votes. If you do, I'll kick ya out of the contest :)
3. Please, no messaging your friends to ask for votes. This isn't a popularity contest, that takes all the fun out of it.
4. I encourage you to announce the contest and repost my bulletins, as long as you do not mention that you are in the contest.
5. Oh, yeah..voting. I will have the pictures in the pics section. Please message me your votes with a simple "I vote for #1 and #2", for example.
6. Since we all like to know where we stand, I will be periodically updating a blog to show how many votes each kitty has accumulated so far.
7. You can enter as often as you like, first to submit an appropriate pic, first entered. Since I have upcoming contests listed on my page (left-hand side), you do not need to wait to see what's coming up, and you do not have to wait to enter.
8. I will no longer be accepting new human friends. Voters can be combo human-pet profiles, but no regular humans. If you are a human and have been voting by the rules, you can stay. Sorry I can't accept any more, but some have ruined it for the rest.
9. I reserve the right to eliminate any contestant with suspicious votes, ie, 10 votes in a row all from people on your friendlist, that are not on my friendlist, saying "two votes for number so-and-so". This indicates to me that you have messaged all of your friends and requested votes. As mentioned above, this is against the rules.
10. New rule, Only one kitty per picture submitted unless the particular contest calls for more than one pet in the picture. This is to prevent the advantage of double-cuteness in one picture :) Thanks for reading this far. Please add my contest to your friend list and join in the fun!
