Sudbury has one of the best metal scenes in Ontario hands down. It always has and always will. Many great bands hail from here including Wolven Ancestry, Beyond Within, Sotreum, Upheaval of an Exorcist, Fleshcraft, Catharcyst, Three For Fallacy, Stage 3-1, Sera Avond, 85 Pound Poutine, Kreeper and many more. Over the years there has been alot of great bands that have played in Sudbury while on tour including Metallica, Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Cannibal Corpse, Decapitated, Ensiferum, Behemoth, The End, Unearth, Kataklysm, Rotting Christ, Moonsorrow, Kalmah, Exhumed, Macabre, Despised Icon, Severed Saviour, Hatebreed, Black Dahlia Murder, Cephalic Carnage, Hate Eternal, Krisiun, Belphegor, Beneath The Massacre, Fuck The Facts, The Red Chord, Cryptopsy, Winter Solstice, and many many more.
This page is also the official page of the Sudbury Metal Feast event which takes place about once a year. Lots of great bands come through Sudbury on a regular basis and the continued support of metal fans in Northern Ontario makes it possible to bring you the biggest metal bands in the world. THE SUDBURY METAL FEAST - A Brief History
Every year, Archaic North Entertainment hosts the Sudbruy Metal Feast. The idea and anticipation behind the event is to display good Canadian unsigned talent coming from but not limited to the Eastern Canada region including Ontario/Quebec. The main focus is to bring in bands which the Sudbury metal community will most likely not have heard of yet. Each event also showcases current Sudbury artists all in one event. Many great bands have pefromed in the past including Kalmah, Augury, Neuraxis, Gwynbleidd, Fuck the Facts, Lapidate, Disgust, Blood of Christ, At the Mercy of Inspiration, Inveigh, Chaos Machine, Maniak, Tugnut, Visions of the Night, Burn To Black, Nephelium, Vanquished, Empyrean Plague, Endast, Godawful, Rammer, Starring Janet Leigh, Gates of Winter, Cryptik Howling, Corprophemia, Violent Marv, Soul Less Divine, Horde of Worms, Near Death Experience, Circus of the Damned Torture show and past and present locals including Fleshcraft, Beyond Within, Wolven Ancestry, Catharcyst, Human Herd, Gracious Malignance, Black Casket Confessions, Innate, Magus, Proximity, Wrong Formula, Redemption, First in Defiance, Sotreum, Abnorma and Rotting Remains.
