Brought together through an ambition to creating loud, entertaining noise, i get flashbacks first formed in september 2002 under the name tenth drive. Living together in crowhurst,we bashed out our early demo rehearsals and got into a studio. We recorded three of our eight live tracks. Following the buzz of the studio time we really wanted to get on and play some shows and certainly we did, but shortly afterwards a series of setbacks put tenth drive on hold. The quiet time followed. No noise. Surely madness will rear its ugly head and smout this silence. It did, and six months later we were reunited and set about arranging new rehearsal space. No longer living together, it wasnt the space that was a problem, it was transport,we needed a van. We got the van and in september 2006 began jamming again. This was awesome, having spent time apart, our taste had diversified and become more individual.To coincide with this shift we decided a less generic and more original name was needed, we stumbled across i get flashbacks and settled on it there and then. It seemed to fit the new stuff which has developed into a more progressive post-punk sound with new found leanings towards electronic elements.Our intention,to engage and excite.Grand Designs
