In 1998, at the peak of the Rave Scene, Michael Delos Reyes a.k.a. Buddha was introduced to the world of Electronica. Considered a late bloomer in the electronic age of music, with his humble beginnings traced to the Trance Scene of the late 90's, it was just a matter of time until Buddha would discover his passion for House Music.
Buddha's journey into House Music began with DJs and producers such as Derrick Carter, Heather, Diz, Mark Grant, and Mark Farina. His fascination for funky bass lines, booming bass with hypnotic jazz melodies definitely made Chicago House as one of Buddha's favorite sound.
It was not until Buddha was introduced to the sounds of DJs and producers such as Lil Louis Vega, Marques Wyatt, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Trent, and Kerri Chandler that he finally found his niche in House Music. He could not resist the deep, soulful, jazz infested beats that accompanied this style of House. In his very own Jazz Sessions 1 & Jazz Sessions 2, Buddha captures the styles of top House icons and is able to add his own flavor to it, creating a unique sound that will soon have him recognized in the House Music community.
Although a native of Los Angeles, Mr. Buddha frequents the San Diego House Scene, playing in famous spots including the Red C Lounge, Rich's, and the E-Street Alley. His smooth mixing, unique musical selection, and ability to get bodies moving on the dance floor have made him one of San Diego's and LA's favorite local DJs.

My Interests

I'm an aspiring HOUSE DJ - Designated People Mover, mostly everything I do revolves around the music or at least try to... I'm a sports enthusiast when it suits me... I'm a food connoisseur when I'm hungry... and most of all when all else fails, I like to drive around and people watch...

I'd like to meet:

New friends, potential lovers, people I can hang out with, people I can drink with, people I can chill at the pad and watch tv with, people I can go drink with without having to worry about them not being able to hold their liquor, people I can go dancing with, people I can listen to music with. and people who can just deal with life and not bitch about it all day long...

Even though I act like I don't give a damn about the things you've done for me, I do. You've always been open minded to everything that I got into.. good things and bad things... One thing I really appreciate is that you let me live my life the way I wanted to live it... even though sometimes it seemed like I was headed to self destruction, you've always trusted that I would make the wiser decision... SELF RELIANCE is the one thing in life that you've taught me in life that I value the most. Maybe that's why I'm such a hard a$$ sometimes... but like you said.. what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger...
