My Interests

The sounds of people's voices; the voices of people's instruments; the consciousness of the plant world; culinary technique; animal behavior (wild and domesticated); animal magnetism; weather, and its effect on cloud patterns; whether patterns cloud effect; withering effects of patter; the feel of the bead of the drumstick against the skin of the drum, and its rebound; the vibration of the thumbpick, as it reverberates the strings of the guitar; the resonance of the dobro strings, as the bar slides across them. Spiritual Humanism and Integral philosopy.

I'd like to meet:

Sincere, down to earth people who have creative minds and are interested in the free exchange of ideas. I prefer knowing people to meeting them. I'd like to meet George Washington, if he were half horse and half man; I could stand there with Thomas Jefferson and laugh...

Heroes:

Risking one's life, peace of mind or comfort zone to get hold of something meaningful seems heroic...getting out of bed every day and trying to make the day meaningful seems pretty heroic to me! ;-) I am often amazed that we sustain ourselves as human beings with a shred of dignity and humanity in the process; we don't need dignity or humanity to survive, but it sure is reassuring to witness these qualities in ourselves and others. We are all heroes, unless or until we prove distinct cowardice in a given situation!
