Sounds Like: On the CD Standing in the middle of your mind the first song, should've left that girl alone is a straight forward rocker. Mike McKee plays the drums on this song and really rips it up. The police siren in this song was recorded out in the cornfields of Dixon California, and is real. The next song, Staring at the sun is more of a pop rocker along the lines of the Beatles meeting Cheap trick and is easily the most downloaded song on the CD. Track #3, The blue is a slow and tastefully melodic song. Songs #4 the sands of time and #7 The day heaven cried, have heavy doses of influence from Led Zeppelin. The Sands of time is a tale of love gone sour while The day heaven Cried is a medium paced rocker. Track 5 has a Aerosmith kind of vibe with some tasty slide guitar work and harmony vocals. Another toe tapper 1960 also has some nice slide guitar in it. Song #8, The unborn, has an eerily haunting guitar riff reminiscent of a Black Sabbath style of song. The title track Standing in the middle of your mind is acoustic guitar and vocals only. Finally the last song Take her down is a ballad about a long distance love affair. Acoustic and electric guitars swirl together for some sweet ear candy. I hope you enjoy my music as much as I did bringing it to life from scratch.
