About Me

Watch me grow younger before your eyes! This site is a celebration of my life so far and an appreciation of my past. That's why I'll occasionally put up an old pic for my profile. I'm not trying to misrepresent myself but remembering good times. MySpace has been a wonderful tool of self-rediscovery and a way to stay in touch with family and friends. I've found new music that I'd never hear on the radio (check out lower rows of Top Friends). I've also met people in the Classic Rock groups that love to rock 'n' roll trivia chat as much as me ................. I've always been too earthy to be a girly girl. I can't get caught up in that, but I embrace my inner rock chick ................. I'm a misplaced beach girl. I've lived in 10 Southern California beach towns from La Jolla up to Isla Vista. I was born on the North Carolina coast and lived in Hawaii for 2 years as a kid (military brat). I miss the ocean, but not the crowds. When I lived there, these towns weren't crowded -- or expensive. I love the laid-back, forested mountain community where I am now, but I miss being on near water and my family and friends in SoCal .................... Below is Big Sur -- my favorite stretch of California coastline. The mountains and forest meet the Pacific Ocean, it's undeveloped and unspoiled, full of waterfalls and sealife (whales, dolphins, elephant seals, sea lions, otters). I went to college just 2 hours down the coast at UC Santa Barbara. My dorm room even had an ocean view. I didn't need to go anywhere exotic for spring break. I was livin' the dream at school...Our front yard, private dock, ramp and beach on Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas. It was hard to give this up...I'm in a beautiful area now too. The Red Rocks of Sedona are just 30 miles south of Flagstaff. A perfect way to spend an afternoon -- especially if the water's up in Slide Rock Park (whee!)...I want to visit these falls at the bottom of the Grand Canyon (not far away)...View from home facing East...View from home facing South (lots of elk visit and eat my plants!)... This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

Long lost Torrey Pines Falcons and UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. My Schenker friends. See bottom row of Top Friends, and check out their music.
