About Me


Absit formed in early 2003 with the intention ofmaking a new style of metal while incorporating other genres. Lee Taborthe drummer was in a band Absolute Zero which played shows in Fresnofor a couple of years. During that time Absit's lead vocalist BrandonScott was playing in a band called 4ft O.D. Which broke up after hisdrummer left the band. Lee and Brandon took this opportunity to start anew band. The drums and the vocals were set, but they were in need of aguitarist and a bass player. Giovanni Gusto was playing in a bandcalled Arcanum, but after talking with Lee the same night that 4ft.O.D. broke up they decided to start what would later be called Absit.After going through 2 bass players Absit aquired Leon Cologne who is abig ascet on bass. Now with the addition of Rick Lozano on guitarsAbsit is finally ready for the next level and it will show as timecontinues to grow better music for us! We just won the Battle ForManfest and got the spot opening up on the Main Stage at Manfest withSix Ounce Gloves, Faktion, Hinder, Theory of a Dead Man and Taproot.New bands that we have shared the stage with include Nonpoint andRevelation Theory. In recent ventures we have made it to the Semi-Finals of the Emergenza music festival which wewill be apart of this year as well. They will be holding rounds in Fresno this year which is stated to be caused byus. We played very well out of town and will continue to do so. Currently we are in the round labled "In thetrenches" We have impressed judges and blown away the competition in the shows we have played. Even out of townagainst bands from the area are no match for Absit. We will be playing the Roxy Theatre soon so stay tuned forticket info. Read the Fresno Bee article on ABSIT
