About Me

I believe in people, in communication, in sharing, in love, in learning. I will not give up easily, if I find something important. I believe in trying to find solutions to problems instead of just talking about them. I like to laugh. Can laugh at myself, too.:) I like meeting new people and learning new things. I love art, images, abstract or figurative. As in paintings, photographs, dreams... I love how oil paint forms what ever patterns you will it to, I love the smell of paints. I have not touched my paints and brushes in ages, though. Some day I will or perhaps I wont. It is irrelevant, my love for art has so deep a foundation it will be there for the rest of my life whether I remain a viewer or again take on the actual process of painting myself. I have cried when I came across Edvard Munch..s work I had never seen before. I have had my pulse speed when standing before a vast area of pure blue pigment by Yves Klein. If you are one of the kind you know what I am talking about. If not there are no words that will ever explain this to you. ..I love written words, whispered words, said words, forgotten words, savoured words... Mine and other..s. In books, in songs,in newspapers, in reality and in fiction. People should communicate. Some of us have a way with words. Here is an example. A Radiohead song, Creep. I think these lyrics are special: ..When you were here before/ couldn't look you in the eye/ You're just like an angel/ your skin makes me cry/ You float like a feather/ in a beautiful world/ I wish I was special/ you're so fucking special/ ..But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo/ What the hell am I doing here/ I don't belong here/ ..I don't care if it hurts/ I want to have control/ I want a perfect body/ I want a perfect soul/ I want you to notice/ when I'm not around/ You're so fucking special/ I wish I was special/ ..But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo/ What the hell am I doing here?/ I don't belong here/ ..She's running out the door/ she's running/ she run, run, run, run, run/ ..Whatever makes you happy/ whatever you want/ You're so fucking special/ I wish I was special/but I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo/ What the hell am I doing here?/ I don't belong here/ I don't belong here... ..

My Interests

Art, literature, ( live ) music, movies, good food, red wines, friends, dancing, good conversations, stupid jokes, relaxing, daydreaming, learning something new, seeing new places every now and then...Thinking about all kinds of things, for example: "How is it possible that before the beginning of the universe there was nothing, not even time."...Hmmm, makes you wonder...

I'd like to meet:

My family ( hi mom and bro..s! , dad!) and friends more often! Good people with open minds, sense of humour and compassionate hearts. The people who own a piece of my heart. New friends to share ideas with. If you know what this clip is about, I am pretty sure you are my kind of people.

Music:

I like to find new bands and new music, but there are some that will stick with me always:Portishead, Keb Mo, Danko Jones, Marianne Faithful,Glasvegas, Living Colour, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, Sonny Boy Williamson, Astor Piazzolla, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eva Dahlgren, Spearhead, P.J.Harvey, Gogol Bordello, Nits, Radiohead, Kauko Röyhkä, Stevie Wonder, John Lee Hooker, Tom Waits, Mozart, Bach,UNI, Sielun Veljet, Massive Attack, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Lennon, Skunk Anansie, That 1 Guy, Cassandra Wilson, The Flaming Sideburns, Joni Mitchell, Gil Scott Heron, Morcheeba, Cat Power... not in any particular order...anything you can feel was made with honesty, soul and passion. Or is fun. Or makes me want to dance. Or think. Should I be forced on a deserted island, I would need to take these: ..

Movies:

Station Agent, The Usual Suspects, Crash, Godfather I, Sideways, Amadeus, Reservoir Dogs, Five Seasons, Pulp Fiction, Breaking the Waves, 21 grams, Andalucian Dog, Magnolia, American Beauty, Constant Gardener, Peppi Pitkätossu, Eemeli, All about Eve, Some like it hot, Everything is illuminated... I like different genres and there is no telling what I will like in advance. A movie is a work of art and as my taste in paintings is a very varied one so is my taste in films.

Television:

I sold mine. But I have enjoyed some stuff I have seen... Monty Python, The Office, Smack the Pony, Sopranos.. Better without it, though. Comment Buddy

Books:

Fiction: Paul Auster, J.M.Coetzee,Haruki Murakami, Alice Munro, Raymond Carver, Toni Morrison, Joyce Carroll Oates, Gloria Naylor, Lisa Alther, Sándor Márai, Jayne Ann Phillips, Roddy Doyle, Andrew Vachss, Petri Tamminen, Juha Seppälä, Jean Rhys... Non-fiction: (auto)biographs of interesting people, history, psychology, cosmology, art related stuff, gardening, building stuff, architecture, cooking, music, philosophy... I like to read and I read a lot and do not want to cathegorize; I don..t like putting stuff in to boxes and naming them in any area of my life. Most anything can be really interesting. It is a question of how to put it. I don..t believe in the phrase: Curiosity killed the cat. I do believe that remaining your natural curiosity of all things in life will do you good. Do not believe what people tell you. Check it out yourselves!

Heroes:

You know who you are, what you have done and how much your efforts are appreciated. Love and respect to you all. So many things never said, so many things still to be shared... My mom. My brothers! The twins passed their finals and the older one making the world a prettier place, little by little.
