Starting as a jamsession between Raph, ex member of the grindcore fraction of deadboydreaming & Jacques, playing in sewerel funk-oriented band(we, poubbles), this turned out to be a quite interesting mix.
After several sessions, Resch became bass player,still playing in his own band, Stories to tell(accoustic songwriting)With a funk drummer, a metal guitarist and an accoustik bassist, none had the same influences or ideas how to write, arrange and create song, what made this really "psycadelic" and interesting.Lincoln Hawk is a mix of stoner rock in direction of Kyuss,Hawkind...with some deviation trough indie rock, and even harder parts in direction of Helmet, all kept in an instrumental meltdown.The name got chosen out of a really cheesy movie, where some dude was doing his thing in armwrestling, and by turning his baseball-cap half way around, he became a tank..a truck...whatever...and that is exactly what we do, turn up halfway our amps(remember 11 is always louder than 10...) and kick the shit....After the first half year of playing shows, we had great fun, and altough after each single show we got 2-3 people asking if they can singing in the band, we might just keep it instrumental...so we can split the beer in 3 (even 2, since the guitarist is a faggot...) rather than into 4......ride on
