About Me

Kitty Hawk has been playing music since her brother put a guitar in her hand as a teenager, she had had already piano training, and singing in her childhood. Kitty's natural abilty to arrange music, and her ear for melody and harmony all were tools to build the foundations of these compositions throughout her career as a recording artist, and it has made all of her music interesting, and enjoyable to listen to.She has recorded much music of different styles in her recording career. Her first album was with a band called FREE DYRT, legendary in Montana from the late nineties. A six piece jam band famous for songs as diverse as "Understand", "Grizzly Bear", "Navar's Poem", and "Park Bench".After the band experience Kitty spent some time in Nashville, Tennesee working on songwriting and lyrical composition. She returned to Washington DC, her hometown, to record the aforementioned album, entitled SOUL COFFEE; her debut album as a solo artist, and a finished work after having recorded various songs individually in Nasvhille "Where The Angels Play" and "Half Silver Moon Tide" recorded in Montana. This ensemble of songs is a perfect match to what "soul coffee" is, and therefore a work to be recognized. In the LOST ASTRONAUT Kitty is collaborating, and producing with engineer Danny Demetro, founder and producer of Lost Astronaut. Kitty contributes with vocal composition, and guidance through album structure, and production. So far the Lost Astronaut with Kitty Hawk has played a gig at the Wonderland Ballroom in Columbia Heights Washington DC and at the Electronic Possible venue at GW. As her work continues, her solo album Soul Coffe can be found on the internet for sale at CDBaby.com, and at most digital distribution sites throughout the internet like Apple itunes, Music Net, Destra, MOD Systems, Wrap Factory, Groupie Tunes, Choice Records, Music Now, Verizon Wireless, Daiki, Inprodicon, MP3tunes, Chond, MSN Music, Arvato, Rhapsody, Pay Play, Buy Music, Audio Lunchbox, Bitmunk, Digital Kiosk, iSound, Interia, Liquid Digital Media, MP3-Extension, Weed, Music Is Here, Yoo Pe Doo, Intent Media Works, Sony Connect, Tasty Audio, Peer Impact, Loud Eye-OD2, Pass Along, DigiPie, MP Greek, Next Radio, QTR Note, Pure Tracks, Trade Bit, and Hear Music.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
