Free Image Hosting for MyspaceMike Brickner came into this world in 1971 in the city of Detroit, Michigan USA. He was raised right on the famous 8 mile border. Mike’s parents loved music and both were talented piano players so he naturally developed a passion for music. At a early age he took lessons in classical piano and learned how to play amazing pieces like the “ Moonlight Sonata “ and “ Fur Elise “ by Ludwig van Beethoven. But in the early 80’s Mike discovered electronic music and he was hooked. Hearing the Art of Noise track called “ Close (to the edit) “ was like a calling to his brain and he took interest in learning more about electronic music. He started listening to artists such as Africa Bambata, Kraftwerk, Jeff Mills aka the Wizard and Depeche Mode. But it wasn’t till after a 4 year enlistment in the United States Marine Corp that he purchased his 1st piece of electronic equipment , an Roland XP80 Workstation. He soon released records on labels such as Seismic, Cetron, Definition, Restructured, Internal Error and Kombustion. Mike has also licensed tracks to React Records for Dave Clarke’s ‘ World Service “ dual CD set. All the while Mike managed to hold down a factory job building V8 engines at DaimlerChrysler’s Mack 1 plant in the heart of Detroit and continues to do so. . Not only has Mike played live at numerous clubs and parties, he taught himself the art of the turntable. He soon began to spin at the hottest clubs and events and played along side other artists such as the Orb, The Advent, Christian Smith, Adam Jay, Juan Atkins, Dj T-1000, Gaetek, Ben Simms, the Surgeon, Woody Mcbride, Bryan Zentz, Vapor Space and Thomas Krome. Mike has no plans on stopping his electronic journey He will continue to plant his evil frequencies all over the planet, that is why Mike is appropriately dubbed the “ Cozmic Spore “.
