About Me

Radio Ghoul School is the online-stream put together by DJ Mark Splatter, the creepy rock and roll DJ who began in New York, then opened up the infamous Ghoul School club in West Hollywood from 2002-2005, bringing deathrock and oldschool goth and dark alternative back into the Hollywood night life after a languishing period of techno-fied EBM clubs passing themselves off as gothic. Ghoul School stood for a revival of the guitar-wave sounds of postpunk, batcave, horror punk and oldschool gothic: Deathrock. Not only bringing back to light the originals, but giving newer bands like The Vanishing, Cinema Strange, and The Phantom Limbs a place in the LA underground dance clubs - a much demanded place. Since then the number of bands releasing modern death rock sounds has multiplied dramtically! And though the doors of the deathrock dance hall, 'Ghoul School' have closed down for good, the same sounds are available online at http://www.radioghoulschool.com via live shoutcast streams through WINAMP or iTunes. In addition to a wide variety of dark and alternative sounds, you can soon hear podcasts from other Deathrock DJs around the world.Radio Ghoul School is simul-cast via Pirate Cat Radio (San Francisco) on between 1am-5am Eastern Standard time US) thanks to Pirate Cat mogul, MonkeyMan!24 hours streaming internet radio: Gothic, Punk, Wave, Postpunk, Horror Rock, Psycho, Trashy Elektro, New Wave
