Hyperion aka Antonis Giakoumelos was born in Greece/Athens in 1979. His first steps in electronic music were in 1994 with the legendary groups from orbital, fsol, the prodigy and with the first electronic music group in greece, stereo nova. His passion for ambient & electronica music shows up when he hears for the 1st time Pete Namlook and Steve Roach 2 of the best ambient musicians of our time!!! He starts as a DJ in 2000, organizing weekly chillout/ambient nights at the Inotheka Bar (monastiraki/Athens) From 2005, Hyperion switched ambient residency fot the Mezcal Bar (psiri), along on decks with Arash Atman... Moreover, from 2005 he joins KGB (www.kgbeach.tk) who aren't promoters, but love music... That's why they try mostly with free events.. Hyperion is a well known name of the Athenian Chill Out scene, he as appeared in many top events and played with very nice and known artists like Solar Fields and Gus Till in events at the Underworld Club, or in different giant free parties around the Greek Capital.
