I, hopeful Bachelor(ette) to this noble Brotherhood, do hereby swear to protect the City of Portland and to serve its Citizens in whatever Capacity my Abilities may be best employed, and furthermore to uphold and support the Aristocracy of Portland, from whom it is understood that certain Ceremonies, Honors, and Benevolences flow. It is my Intent to show Loyalty to my Order and to my City, to show mercy towards my Fellow-Citizen, and to magnify the Grandeur and Nobility of my Peers. Should this Oath be broken, let me live One Thousand Years and sin no more in Portland.

The taking of this oath grants one the privelige of signing all missives, letters, and communiques "Your Name, S. of P." as well as other rights and honors of the peerage.
