Sad Gray formed when the group met at their local High School in Port Lincoln, early 2005. Driven by the schools incohenrence toward local music acts, the band caused a buzz in mid 2005 for its ability to captivate audiences with its musical textures and avant-garde sensibilities. The band split in April 2006 due to inner conflicts and musical differences however reunited in June 2007 and embarked on a tour later that year. Sad Gray has announced an album due at unspecified date in 2008.
