Let's see...guEss we can start with the name. Known too most as Greg Pruitt so much talent, he don't know to what to do wit it...haha!! Others call me BoOgZ and it kind of grew on me soOo, yeah!! Born and raised in the city of Mac's, Sacramento California what more can I say, we're known for breeding Kings. Aside from silly comments and out rite conceited posterior, I'm really one of the coOest cats yOu'll probably ever meet. Devoted to the well being of all who cross my path. The good Lord put us here to enjoy this life, but also hoped that we never loose site that is our duty to love thy neighbor. Married to the most beautiful, miss Puerto Rico. Got a little prodigy on the way, due here in the next few months. Guess you can say I'm not much different than most other people you meet, but I think you'd speak differently once you had the opportunity to get to know me. Music...thats where I start to drift of coarse a little bit. Every since I can remember I've been exposed to music. As just a little succa, with a father who was a percussionist I grew on the sounds of calypso's, and sambas. He taught me the difference between a tone, muff, and a slap, much love for that. Didn't really understand what it was that he was trying to teach me till much later on. Lived in the house with an uncle and two cousin's that were producer's, so forget about a garage!!! who needs a to park cars when you got a 64 track recording studio shiiitttt. All this, but I was still only like 12 years old so I couldn't see where I fit in. So I spent most off my high school years failin classes and hangin out with friends. Only had a few real cats that I was really down to ride wit, but it was enough to open my eyes to a whole new world of things I didn't even realized existed. Met up with my boy Karma and B-Boy Marc who at the time were gettin down with some boy's and called themselves Souls Crew. Breakin was a new thing for me, so I used to tag along to different functions around town just cawz I was diggin the vibe. You got a circle of cats breakin in one corner, the DJ handlin business on the wheels, another circle of cats in another corner freestyle. I saw this and that was it for me, nobody beefin with each other, the environment was so sick that I new I found a home. Hip Hop is a culture which promotes expression of one's self through art. So I spent the next 10 years of my life educating myself on the many different aspects of Hip Hop and how they apply to each and every one of us today. Got my first set of tables and couldn't even wait for my mixer to show up before I was tryin to get busy. That's when I started to understand exactly where the art comes in makin music. I actually stoped being able to listen to the music cawz I was toO buisy tryin to count bars and BPM's, diggin through crates, makin play list for my next mix. Before I knew it, I was just like so many of these other Dj's out there that only focus on movin the crowd, and don't really listen to the shit that they are feeding these people. So I kicked back on that for a little bit and got my feet back on the ground, so I could continue to promote positive music for the people who really listen. Got with my cousin the Konscious One who had been writtin and producing music for many many years now, my man Reason, my other cousin Dialekt, my boy Myndsol, and started makin our own music. There's somethin about the ability to just create that gets me where I need to be. It's not the money or the attention, that's all extra!!! It's the ability to create. The closest we could ever get to knowing how God felt to create life, cawz with music you create influence which can guide, educate, motivate. That's why it is important to make music that is positive and does not contribute to the degeneration of our culture. So nowadays most of us got other endeavors that have slowed the process of our being able to work together on the music, cawz we gotta pay these bills, got kids to be fathers too, got families to support. By the way much love to MyndiNK...so it has become more of a personal adventure for me. I plan to continue my growth through Hip Hop and use it as a tool to further educate myself as well as others. I look forward to traveling across the world and meeting new people who share the same love. I'm still young and got a long road to travel so keep your eyes open for this kid....and don't be afraid to get at me when you see me man. Let's do this together!!!!!
