F L O W (PSV / CITY LIGHTS)

About Me

grew up playing various instruments from piano to percussion. Eventually started showing interest in hip-hop culture. He began DJing in 02-03 around town and moved on to bigger events over the years. Events have included Club parties (PSV, Mass Appeal, FOF), MC Battles (Battle Ave, Import Nights), BBoy Jams(Abnormal Abilities, Unbreakable). As a live performance DJ, FLOW has shared the stage opening for various hip-hop acts including Too Short, Zion-I, Hieroglyphics, Visionaries, Lyrics Born, Cali Agents (Rasco & Planet Asia) to name a few. In 2004 he decided to get back into playing different instruments and started to show interest in music production. He began both recording and performing with several artists including Uptown Swuite (City Lights), LoKey Quintet and other Sycamore Studio affiliates. In 2005 teamed up with longtime friend and musician DZ(Double D) to form the Rhythm Aces. The aces went on to release "AM Radio Promo (Sycamore)" and gained recognition from KDVS (UC Davis Radio). Soon after the project the Rhythm Aces went on to host their own radio show "Beats, Rhymes & Life" and later linked with PSV Events to continue with 2 full seasons of "PSV Radio" which aired on both KDVS 90.3 FM & KSSU 1580 AM. In 2008 FLOW plans on releasing several projects including the first full length release of the City Lights (Uptown & Flow), launching monthly/weekly podcast with The Sycamore Soundsystem, and is lined up to work with several artists to release multiple mixtapes throughout the year.
