Zoltan Vegvari

Born in California, raised in Europe living between my home country Hungary and Germany, I started to play piano at the age of 12. After listening and imitating old blues & boogie records I soon found an interest in the jazz piano traditions of Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea, etc... Playing gigs throughout Europe at the age of 14. After turning 18 I then attended the Richard-Strauss Konservatory in Munich, Germany where I studied Jazz/Classical Piano for 2 years. During this studies I did studio work and played various gigs throughout Europe. Then I moved back to Hungary and lived there for 3 years. After that, I came to Utah and studied music/languages and taught both as an adjunct faculty member while performing with jazz combos of the surrounding area. Currently I am in studying at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
