Stanley Kubrick is a brilliant man. Every thing he touches turns to gold. I do not count Eyes Wide Shut and AI as Kubrick’s work. If he were living, they never would have seen the light of day. My ten favorite movies in alphabetical order are A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Godfather, Godfather II, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Pulp Fiction, Raging Bull, Schindler’s List, Silence of the Lambs, and Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back. The greatest of these is Dr. Strangelove. For those of you who would put Scarface as your favorite movie of all time: go fuck yourself. That movie isn’t even Brian De Palma’s best work. Put on your hip hop cd and shut the fuck up. Lately I mainly watch documentaries, foreign films, and artsy snobby independent films that would not be of interest to you.

i don't read much as a rule of thumb. i mainly read beat poetry like allen ginsberg. beyond that i read a lot of my old favorite comic strips such as calvin and hobbes, far side, and the all time greatest comic strip....bloom county.
