..I like theater, music, anything in the arts. I like visual art too, but I don't always understand it. I'm really trying to develop this whole visual art idea, and elevate myself from my trailer park roots. Being a natural bookworm, I tend towards indoor activities - I'm not a nature girl. I like the ocean, despite my hermit lifestyle. I'm also a little crafty. I specialize in small, fuzzy items vaguely resembling proper crochet.
The person who would actually be with me both in a field of clover AND at a birthday party. One or the other would be nice, but who'd do both? THAT'S the person I'd like to meet. That or the man who names the paint colors.
..BROAD HINT: I'm having to replace a lot of music right now, because it got burned up in the fire. If anyone wants to help me out with that, let me know. Favorite artists: Jeff Buckley, Queen, The Cure, Ryan Adams (selectively), Josh Rouse, Iron and Wine, Amy Winehouse (yes I know, but come on! The girl won't go to rehab! It's awesome!), Rilo Kiley, Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, Ella Fitzgerald, The Features, White Stripes, Poe, Fluid Ounces, Regina Spektor, Ben Folds (and the former Five). I have a closet love of Scissor Sisters, which is interesting since they're very much out of the closet.
..The Princess Bride, Amelie, Ocean's 11 12 and 13, Garden State, Only You, The Matrix (yeah, I liked all three), Sneakers, Magnolia, Stranger Than Fiction, Closer, Flight of the Navigator, Girl Interrupted (also an excellent book), When Harry Met Sally, Mirrormask.
..Well, I have rabbit ears, which significantly limits my TV viewing. Personally, I think that's a good thing.
..This is more of an authors list for me, as I like the authors of several books. Virginia Woolf, Dorothy Parker, Emily Dickinson, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, John Irving, Eugene O'Neill, William Blake. John Grisham, James Patterson, Jasper Fforde and Micheal Crichton are guilty pleasures. Big fan of Tolkien - before the movies. I like John Le Carre, Dave Sedaris. Jose Saramago, who's kind of a mix between Garcia-Marquez and Faulkner. I need to stop reading the classics and start reading some authors that are actually still alive.
