MEN IN BLUEEste cuarteto se formó en Barcelona en el año 1.998, con el objetivo de ofrecer al público un repertorio basicamente de blues. Con el paso del tiempo, esta formación ha ido variando de componentes. Han destacado Joan Pau Cumelles(armonicista), el batería Jordi Ortiz, El bajista Toni Cubedo, entre otros, siempre como miembro fijo su fundador, Miguel Talavera.El grupo unifica atmósferas tan aparentemente lejanas como el country, jazz, blues, funk, mediante el sonido original y elegante de sus instrumentos. Presentan unas versiones muy personales y con una gran amplitud de variedad musical: clásicos del R’n’Roll(Elvis, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, etc), funk(James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Guitar Watson, Prince, etc), jazz(Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, etc), country rock and 50’s(Kenny Rogers, Albert Lee, Johnny Cash, Danny Gatton, The Hellecasters, The Ventures, Duanne Eddy,etc)Tambien interpretan sus propias composiciones que incluyen en su repertorio.Men in Blue es una banda ideal incluso para acompañar a artistas que vienen a hacer giras en solitario y no disponen de su grupo original para realizar tal actividad.LOS MUSICOSMIGUEL TALAVERA. Su indudable talento le permite recrear a la perfección tanto el sonido de los bluesmen clásicos, como experimentar con sonido nuevos y expresivos, los fraseos más insólitos, sin dejar de lado la melodia y el lirismo. Un músico muy reconocido en Barcelona por méritos propios y con un currículum muy extenso.DAVID SAM. Teclista, voz Polifacético pianista. Abraza diferentes estilos musicales: blues, funk, jazz, latin, etc. Se mueve como pez en el agua en un boogie-boggie o en un tema de Michel Camilo. Gran intuición musical, lirismo y fuerza. Un gran número de artistas requieren sus servicios como instrumentista, tanto en estudio como en directo.J.J. MAS. Bajo, voz Bajista de formación autodidacta. Con una gran intuición musical que sabe utilizar de manera muy eficaz para proporcionar juntamente con el bateria una clara y contundente base ritmica y armónica al conjunto. Su amplia experiencia en diferentes estilos: blues, jazz, funk y ritmos latinos imprimen fuerza al suelo de este combo, sin olvidar los espacios para la improvisación.ROBERT OLORI. Bateria Este internacional baterista, maestro de polirritmias, de la precisión y de la expresividad, marca sin ninguna duda la claridad de los tempos y la intención musical que tendra que seguir milimétricamente la banda.
