..metal, gothic, glam, progressive, death metal, black metal, thrash, industrial, some classic. . .if it's metal, more than likely I can dig it . . I'm not listing every group I like -- that would take too long. I'm mostly interested in whatever has a fresh sound, but sometimes I run across something kick ass that's been done to death. In that rare case, I say "Hey, whatever. It sounds good." I'm turned off by anything that doesn't sound like intelligible notes, I am offended by Fred Durst and insulted by ICP, pop music frightens me, and I'm rather on the fence about punk music -- I like metal because I'm just aggressive like that, I need that release. And yeah, I was really heavily into riot grrl rock for a good part of the nineties, and I still like some of it, and I don't give a fuck if that offends you. ..

Movies:
..ones that are bloody or funny. Not much in between unless it's one of those sappy dramas that touch on a subject that I totally relate to -- the sick, insane, or poor trying to make it, a couple that doesn't think they are ever able to have kids, or the struggling writer or musician are pretty much the only serious stuff that can keep my attention. Sounds corny, but hey, I AM a woman, lol. Incidently, I used to collect stuff from the Dark Shadows TV series and movies, and I also had The Bad Seed movie, novel, and play script, but all my stuff got stolen three years ago. ..
Television:
I'm a huge dork when it comes to TV. I watch hockey with my husband, but only if the Penguins are playing. I like family sitcoms, and I don't care if that disturbs you. I used to collect Danger Mouse videos because that cartoon is funny as fuck. Captain Caveman was cool, too. I watch those damn celebreality shows on VH1 -- and yes, I know they're completely fake, but that doesn't make them less funny. I watch the reruns of shit on weekend mornings mostly and sometimes afternoons if I'm not busy (which is rare), and I have digital cable, so On Demand comes in handy (for other stuff besides Karaoke). I do watch Girls Next Door, the Kimora show, the Kardashian's show, and some other shows like that sometimes -- but just on the weekends if I'm really bored. Out of those three I mentioned, I only really keep up with Girls Next Door, and out of those stupid fake dating shows, I actually do keep up with VH1 Rock of Love 2, although I think so far this season is boring compared to last season. There's no Red Menace to piss everyone off, just your usual sluts and crybabies...
Books:
..I like too many books to list. The last one I read (besides stuff for school) was davinci code. I'm now officially hooked on Dan Brown books, so I'm currently working on Angels and Demons. I swear, the guy's got this supergenius thriller formula that I've got to enjoy to analyze!! My head is always in the Writer's Market books, Writer's Digest, Poets & Writers, and cookbooks (I'm a bomb ass cook). Oh yeah. . .and between my husband and I we probably could reach the ceiling with all the music magazines. ..
