"The Ljiljana Petkovic Orchestra!" - her new urban chanson project with brumtone labelchef and bassplayer August Engkilde from Denmark and Austrian Drummer Richard Eigner has been booked for the Wundergrund Festival, which will take part this autumn in Copenhagen and Berlin!
At the moment Manuela is busy organising her new monthly event,
"The Urban Peas Session" , a kind of "Salon" where she invites guest musicians to talk to and hear them play and DJ.

Manuela has been a singer since her childhood and is a proud member (tenor) of Barbara Morgensterns' "Chor der Kulturen der Welt" in Berlin.

Some of her favourite projects have been “Cabaret 2000†, a techno version of the famous musical with Liza Minelli, where she had the honour and pleasure to play the starring role of “Sally Bowlesâ€. Not to forget her time as one half of the, in the gay scene very well known, voice and piano project “Noujohama†with Hajo Dierichsweiler, former piano player of Melitta Sundstroem. Together they played an unforgettable Debut in 1994 at the “Metropol†in Berlin for the famous the Gay Teddy Award. The Duo appeared with their music in “The real world, Berlin†on Premiere and made the soundtrack for the ZDF Documentary: “Life is a cabaretâ€.
Fans of electronic music might have come along her voice, too. In 2002 she wa featured as a singer on the album "robobrain" by elektro-jazz band ELEKTRAZZ - a project of danish bass player August Engkilde Together with scape label-chef Stefan Betke aka POLE Manuela released a coverversion of Alexandra’s “Mein Freund der Baumâ€, featured on the Warner compilation “Pop 2001†and as a 7inch on Monika records
Some know her only as a radio voice with a very deep timbre. Since 1997, she has been working
for different radio stations in Berlin and Hamburg as a radio presenter and broadcast journalist.
Others may know her for her wild - all night long DJ sets as resident in the lounge of Berlin’s
famous WMF Club , where she hosted her own regular event “solitaire touringâ€.
In the micromusic, Atari- and 8 bit scene she is known as manou - a composer of beautiful lo-fi pop songs and as the event organiser of microdisco , which started as the micromusic hq berlin and developed into a first class online bit-pop label.
