About Me

Welcome to the official COURT OF GOTHAMâ„¢ MySpace page!!! We are a monthly gathering that is dedicated to the dark subcultures within New York City. CoG is held the third Sunday of each month. The experience is a mix of a cocktail party, gothic lounge, theatre and community event where you can socialize with people of â€œlike-mindâ€. We are passionate in our support and sponsorship of local artists, craftspeople and performers with an environment where they can expose their creative projects to an appreciative audience.
CoG was founded by Father Sebastiaan in 1997. Originally, the gathering was intended as a cocktail party so that the customers of the infamous fang-smith company SABRETOOTH could socialize outside of mundane nightclubs. It went on to evolve in to much, much more!!! After many years and multiple experiments in various formulae, the COURT OF GOTHAMâ„¢ has been restored in celebration of its ninth anniversary.
You know our venue, the fabled BANK, now known as ELEMENT . The gates to the our secret sanctum, THE VAULT at ELEMENT , open at 9:00pm with ceremonies beginning promptly at 10:00 pm. Following the CoG is the monthly party known as XODIAC , which is hosted by the producers of the MASQUE BALL. The COURT OF GOTHAMâ„¢ will be held on the third Sunday of every month.
All who carry the Black Flame are welcome within the COURT OF GOTHAMâ„¢. While CoG is primarily intended for Vampyres and their Black Swans, we welcome all who possess a taste in the unique and the alternative â€“ goths, fetishists, drag queens, and such. Admission is for those 21+ with valid photo ID in dress code. We expect all attendees to be in their best Courtly attire of all formal black, fetish, renaissance, Elizabethan, and Victorian.
