Welcome to :
Blaze Music Promotions (BMP) offers booking, promotions, concert promotion of national/signed/major and independent/unsigned artists and independent A&R. The founders of BMP are both 20+ year musicians as well as Dj's of
The Scott and Pam Radio Show"
). Having both come from musical backgrounds, we understand the trials and tribulations as well as the excitement that goes along with the frustration of the music industry.
We know you put your heart and soul in to what you do!!
Our approach to the music industry is quite simply put, DIFFERENT . You could say we approach it from your point of view, the artist. Read further to find out what you can and can not expect from us.
So what do we offer to you as an artist?
Promotion: BMP offers promotion of artists as well as promotion of shows; both major acts and unsigned acts.
Promotion of Shows in Phoenix, AZ: The promotion of shows is pretty self-explanatory and covers booking and securing the venues, the acts, advertising, and handling/securing ticket sales. We promote both large scale concerts as well as local artists shows. We strive to put artists within the correct venues that best suit them. However we never underestimate the potential of any show and will often push the limits of a band’s potential in a venue. Because we invest in these shows, it’s obviously advantageous for us to make as big of a production out of any shows we promote as is possible. We use tried and true advertising techniques along with our own creative ventures. Whatever it takes to make the show work and get noticed. Plainly put, if you’re hired for a show we are promoting, we won’t book the venue and then leave you out there to get people into the show. However, we do expect artists to get the word out as well. We’re working together here.
Promotion of Artists/Bands: What do we mean by the promotion of artists/bands and how is it different from promoting shows? If we decide to help promote you as an artist/band, then we will help in supporting your efforts in your career. We simply help get the word out about you by offering to get you booked in venues, offering independent A&R services (Described in our blog under “What are Independent A&R services?) which means helping you get in front of the record labels, and we will also promote your music on our syndicated radio show heard throughout the world. If we choose to help promote you, you will also be first in line for opening slots in the major concerts we promote in the Phoenix area, as well as other promoters/venues we work with in other states i.e. MI, WI, IL, & OH. We will also list you as a featured artist on our webpage, adding a song in our player, and listing your upcoming shows in our show dates calendar.
In many ways, our promotional services are much like a management position, however, bands that already have a manager that would still like to be considered for extra help are welcome.
If we promote your band and book shows for you, you will get paid for every show as agreed upon. No more playing shows for free or next to nothing. No more getting ripped off by venue owners or other promoters, we simply WILL NOT let it happen nor will we associate your band and ourselves with anyone that exercises such practices.
Costs: There are no up front costs. We won’t charge you a monthly fee, a sign on fee, or anything up front. Because we work only with bands that we personally feel have the “it factorâ€(to find out what we mean by “it factorâ€, refer to our blog titled “The It Factorâ€) we totally base any income on our belief in you and our time and efforts in working and helping to promote you. In a nutshell, if we don’t do anything for you, then you don’t owe us anything. We’re not going to sit here and say, “You pay us this much a month and we’ll see if we can get you booked in venues, get you in front of record labels, get you played on radio shows, etc.†Where and when we do get paid depends on contractual agreements between you and us, in other words, if we book a show, there is a predetermined amount you will make and a predetermined amount we will make. Each show is unique and is determined on several factors such as the venue size, the amount we spend in advertising, whether we’re promoting the show or not, whether or not it’s a local show or a major booked act, etc. These things are discussed and agreed upon between you and us prior to the event and booking so everyone is aware of what is being paid. Where the labels are concerned and our Independent A&R services are used, the only cost up front to you is providing the material for us to shop; material meaning promo packs, professionally recorded songs and any material costs that apply with shipping such materials. Basically, you supply the material and we’ll do the work. Our payment will come in the form of a commission to be predetermined for our services in the event we get you signed. We don’t’ get you signed, you owe us nothing.
How can we do this you ask? Quite simply put, we’re only going to put our reputation on the line in front of the labels by believing in the product and artist we are presenting to them. For this reason we’re extremely choosy about whom we offer this service for. If we honestly feel we feel we don’t have a good shot at getting you in front of the labels and getting a deal, we’re obviously not going to waste our efforts and time nor your materials. We take the time to research your band prior to making such commitments. We look for “the it factorâ€, the style of music, whether we feel we can get your genre in front of the right label, your following, your live performance and your desire to treat your art as a business. Because we offer this service up front with out any cost, we are extremely critical and selective in our choices. Our reputation and time are dependent upon our choices.
Ok, so what if we think you have great potential but aren't quite ready to be presented to the labels? We'll still work with you as long as we feel the potential is there. We'll help promote you and help you build upon the necessary factors for label presentation.
Our Requirements for Consideration:
1) You must be serious about your career. You must be willing to go the extra effort to do what is expected of you in the music industry. Treat your career as a business.
2) You must have live experience.
3) You must have professionally recorded material. We prefer a complete CD, but it’s not always necessary. A professionally recorded 3 song demo can also be determined.
4) You must have a promo/press kit. For information as to what we look for in a promo kit, look in our blog under “Putting together a Promo/Press Kitâ€.
5) You must be open to suggestions that may further your career.
Think you’ve got what it takes? Contact us right here for the mailing address to send your material to.
