SPLINT is a fresh rock act whose final line-up came together in the spring of 2004. The band was founded by Greg Moore and Gene Johnston,both former members of "Strawhorse." Strawhorse gained world acclaim after signing a 2 song deal for the songs "Atlanta" & "Fishbowl" with SCEA to feature the songs on PS2 (Sony Playstation 2) hit "ATV Off-Road Fury." Atlanta was featured as the title track and Sony sold over 5 million units world wide which has made Strawhorse cult heros in the gaming world. Hungry to go to the next level,Greg & Gene,recruited singer Roger Ramsey from Florida's STP tribute band "Crackerman." Roger's recent side projects include work with ELECTRA RECORDS,JOHNATHON MOVER,and AUDLEY FREED of the BLACK CROWES. Boston's rock monster JOSE MORALES (DEVOUR) a product of the Puerto Rican Metal movement. He grew up playing the same music scene in PR in the band NOTHING REMAINS. The same music scene that spawned members of known acts like CARDINAL SIN, PUYA, 40 BELOW SUMMER,and NONPOINT who back then were in various different projects. He now plays drums for SPLINT and is carving his own niche for showmanship.SPLINT just released their first self titled debut EP. The EP was produced and mixed by Scott Riebling (LETTERS TO CLEO,AMERICAN HI-FI). Mastering was done by Fred Kevorkain for Absolute Audio NYC.SPLINT has toured and shared the stages with SEVENDUST,FILTER,CHEVELLE, SEETHER,DARK NEW DAY,and THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES just to name a few. The bands future plans include hitting East and West coast markets with their new 3 song EP and showcasing several shows in Boston,Providence,and Newport RI. Presently,their fan base is growing rapidly in the New England Providence and Boston college areas. The band just recently shot the first takes for their video debut for "FREIGHT TRAIN" which is aiming for realease on MTV2,THE FUSE,and MUSIC CHOICE.
