About Me

ARKIPELAGO consists of artists and cultural workers who, through creative processes, encourage critical dialogue and promote community involvement in issues concerning the Philippines and the Filipino Diaspora.

Arkipelago continues to work towards a diverse, and responsible society by sharing resources, skills, and knowledge amongst ourselves and our communities. Our goals are to strengthen existing relations, forge new ones with various communities, and organize arts-related public programs and collaborative projects.

MaARTe is an arts webzine committed to inspiring creativity and providing tools for critical thinking within the context of art among Filipino communities around the world.

MaARTe is first and foremost a creative project of Arkipelago.
