The Whiteyebrow band was formed in its current ensemble at the beginning of 2006, but its roots trace a year and half before. The idea that was brought up by Amit Perez (base guitar) and Ohad Manor (drums) was to try and bring back the grunge style (alternative rock) of 90s Seattle. Throughout the first couple of months the two founders auditioned arouned 15 guitarists, but did not find such a guitarist that might suit the style and atmosphere of the music and so the idea went into a long sleep.
Towards the beginning 2006 the idea was brought up again, this time it quickly caught acceleration as a date for the first gig was set even though the band was still only made of its rhythm section lacking a guitarist and singer. Ohad called forth Omri Robissa which is often called robis. Robis soon brought in Yoni Sapir as the lead singer, but it took only a few rehearsals to figure out that the band needed a second guitarist so they brought Gil Meir (which is studying with Ohad in the music course). Even at the first gig it was easy to see the great potential of The Whiteyebrow and soon after it showed in various places in Tel-Aviv and the Sharon. At the end of summer 2006 the band released a six-song demo and recently have been intervied by exit’s Yuval Mendelssohn.
