Tk-Jive

TK-JIVE is a group existing of four young, talented Caribbean men from Amsterdam South-East. Their names are: D*son, Skinto, Craz-E and Homeo Daone. The group was formed in September of 2002. That same year they were invited to a local radio station where they performed live on air. The performance was well received which motivated them to keep on doing “their thang”. Their first live stage performance was a few months later at one of Amsterdam’s most popular clubs, The Melkweg. From here on they started spreading their sound throughout Amsterdam. The youth organisation Go Uptown approached them with the question if they were willing to do the jingle for their TV show. It was this TV show and other various talent shows, which placed the faces with the name TK-JIVE. Street recognition was born. They have been on different stages in different places throughout Holland. The group’s musical diversity leaves no music style untouched. That’s why the name TK-JIVE stands for: Top Klasse Jeugd In Verschillende Elementen, which is dutch for Top Class Youth In Various Elements.
