SwiTch aka Joe DusT

As a young boy of 15 Joey Flu started mixing records, inspired by his love for music and his father who was a Dj himself. Joey began collecting vinyl records.Soon Joey began playing at small house parties. Even though the Hip Hop scene in Amsterdam wasn..t that big yet,He got involved in turntablism. This very much improved his mixing skills which earned him the name Dj Switch.Now a days Switch is one of the first dj..s in the Netherlands who traded his vinyl records for the digital evolution of turntablism called Final Scratch.Because of Final Scratch Switch could expand his music collection to every music stream imaginable. From Hip Hop to R&B, Classics, (latin)house , Ragga and many more he can adjust his style and choice of music to every crowd. This makes Switch a Dj who is able to go from one specific style to being an all-round Dj.Now that Switch his name is famous in the Amsterdam party scene, he does not only play in Dutch clubs, he also played in different clubs and festivals in foreign countries like Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Aruba, Curacao and the USA.In addition he featured in support acts for big artist like Rah Diggah, Ja-Rule and Postmen.In the summer of 2003 Switch toured for the Dr Pepper Basketball Show team and the Footlocker Street Experience Tour.But the true highlight of 2003 for Switch was the Dutch Mc Battle called SPITT which he realized in collaboration with the GRAP foundation and Masters of the Game.Now a days he is spinning his records in clubs, parties and festivals. He is also touring all over the country with a group of stand up comedians called Freshwagon.And he gives weekly Dj workshops at his own DJ skool at Breda and at highschools and musicschools.
