very own MySpace Layouts Born in Detroit, I started playing the piano at the age of 11. I loved music in school even more than my other two passions of playing sports and drawing. As a teenager, I started a local band called Blessd, a gospel group with my brothers and cousins. We did a lot of concerts and musicals around the city and state which landed us on some big gospel tours with the Winans, Rance Allen and Vanessa bell Armstrong just to name a few. My music instructor at that time was Michael Brooks from the gospel group "Commissioned", who introduced me to the road life through touring. It was Michael who got me started playing on a professional level and I'm grateful. Earl Wright Jr. was also very key in my development and is still my mentor to this day. After experiencing the road with several gospel artist such as Fred Hammond, Witness, and Commissioned, I moved on the big time, some would say, to R&B tours with the help of two of the most prominent cats in the touring industry today, and also from the D, Kern Brantley and brother Valdez Brantley. As musical director for Aaliyah, we did several tours with artist such as Keith Sweat, Blacksteet, and the Essence Fest, etc. We also toured overseas to Japan, Germany, and London. I finally came back to my gospel roots where I completed my touring days with Donnie McKlurkin, Curt Carr, Lexi , Men of Standard, and Commissioned. I've also had the opportunity to write and produce with some great artist such as Commissioned, Virtue, and William Murphy III. Currently, I'm producing my very first instrumental jazz cd featuring Detroit's own Randy Scott(saxist), and Lin Rountree(trumpet), also Bridgeport, Connecticut native Jonathan Dubose Jr.(guitarist). I hope to create a style of music that's inspirational and timeless. Stay tuned
